Example Problems for Factors of 32:

Example 1:

What are the factors of 32?

Solution:

All the numbers are divisible by 1.

So , 32 ÷ 1 = 32

Then divide the number by 2.

32 ÷ 2 = 16.

Then the next possible divisor is 4.

32 ÷ 4 = 8.

And

32 ÷ 8 = 4.

32 ÷ 16 = 2.

And then 32 ÷ 32 = 1.

Therefore the factors of 32 are 1 , 2 , 4 , 8 , 16 , and 32
